Sabuezo Turns Basic Security Checks Into a Small-Business Tool

It brings exposed-data checks, a WhatsApp scam checker and website diagnostics together for small businesses in Latin America.

A message from a new supplier asks you to change the bank account for an invoice. It looks plausible, but a wrong transfer could hurt a small business far more than it would a large one. The owner may not have an IT team to ask. That gap is the problem Sabuezo says it is built to address: quick ways to check suspicious messages, exposed personal data and basic website security, without a specialist doing the first pass.

Three checks, one service

Sabuezo is a web-based security tool aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in Latin America. Its site presents three related jobs. You can check whether an email address, phone number or password appears in public breach data; send a suspicious text, link, screenshot or email to a WhatsApp bot for analysis; and request a scan of your website.

The idea is to make initial security triage accessible to people who might otherwise ignore a warning or have no clear next step. For the breach checks, Sabuezo says it compares information with public leaks and offers advice if a match appears. The page says password checks happen without the password leaving your device. That is a meaningful privacy distinction, though the site does not explain the technical method behind the check.

The WhatsApp route is for a different moment: someone has received a message and wants help judging it. Sabuezo says it analyses text, links and images, then gives a risk indication with an explanation and suggested action. Its stated examples include tax agencies, banks, supplier fraud and regional scams. That local framing could make the tool more relevant to businesses dealing with messages that use familiar institutions and terminology.

What a website scan covers

The website diagnostic is described as an automated check of SSL, security headers, email configuration such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC, the content management system, and exposed files. Sabuezo says it returns a plain-language report, a score and a prioritised action plan. The connection between website and email configuration matters: weak sender-authentication settings can make it easier for someone to impersonate a company’s domain in email.

The service therefore combines checks on possible incoming fraud with a look at some of the conditions that can make a business easier to impersonate or expose. That is a useful way to orient an owner who does not know where to start. It is not, based on the described scope, a complete security programme. There is no claim here of continuous monitoring, incident response or a human security team reviewing every result. A scan can point to issues, but someone still has to decide what to fix and make the changes.

A first pass, not a security audit

The product’s appeal depends on keeping the first step simple. The site offers direct checks for personal data, a WhatsApp channel for suspicious messages and a website scan. It says no registration is needed for the breach checks, and Sabuezo is free. That lowers the barrier to trying it, but does not remove the need to assess what information you submit or how you will act on a warning.

There is also a limit to what a score or automated scan can establish. The landing page names the categories checked, but does not explain the depth of the tests or how findings are validated. Treat the output as triage and a prompt for follow-up, not as proof that a site is safe or that every vulnerability has been found. Businesses with sensitive systems, compliance obligations or an active security incident will need more than these checks.

The product runs on the web, while its suspicious-message workflow depends on WhatsApp. That makes it a poor fit for a team that does not use WhatsApp or wants a dedicated desktop application. And although the examples and stated focus are regional, the service is not a substitute for advice tailored to a particular business’s systems and risks.

Who should use it

Sabuezo is for small-business owners and staff who need a low-friction way to check a suspicious message, look for exposed contact details or get a basic view of their website’s security settings. Its value is in putting those first checks in one place and explaining them in accessible language, not in replacing security expertise.

If you run a small business without an IT specialist and want a starting point, Sabuezo is aimed at that situation. If you need a full audit, ongoing monitoring or guaranteed protection, this is not enough on its own.
