Koi

Koi is a Mac app with two keys.

The first turns your voice into text in any app. Tap it, talk, and the words land where your cursor is: Slack, Mail, a browser, a code editor. The speech model runs on your Mac, so it works offline and has no word limit. The ums and stammers go, a list said out loud comes out as a list, and the names you use are spelled your way. Parakeet is built in, and Whisper, Qwen3-ASR and others are a download away, across 100 languages.

The second calls Koi, an AI you talk to out loud. It sees your screen, so you can ask where a button is and it circles it. It sketches to explain things, rewrites the text you select, and clicks around the Mac for you, stopping before anything that signs in or pays.

Koi also records calls on Zoom, Meet or Teams, with you and them written down apart, as audio only or with video. Meetings and classes in the room work too. Everything lands as a document in a real editor with tables, charts and to-dos, beside your Google and Apple calendars.

It lives in a small dock on the edge of your screen, which stays out of anything you share or record.
