About Atone - Quit Screentime
Atone is an iOS screen time app built on one idea: limits only hold when breaking them costs something.
You pick your worst apps — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, whatever eats your evenings — and set a daily limit. Then you sign a short contract with yourself: the apps, the minutes, the price of a weak moment, and your reason why. When the time is spent, the apps lock for the rest of the day.
There are exactly two ways forward. Stay strong, and at midnight the day earns its stamp — a small vermilion mark in your calendar, one for every day held. Or buy yourself free: a real in-app purchase at the price you chose, rising with every further weak moment that same day. Half of every payment goes to a cause you pick — planting trees with PRIMAKLIMA or feeding shelter animals with the Deutscher Tierschutzbund. So your weakness at least means something.
The app itself is free. No subscription, no trial, no premium tier. We only earn when you fail, and we say so openly — every feature is designed to make us earn less.
Who it's for: people who have set screen time limits a dozen times and tapped "Remind me in 15 minutes" every single day. Atone exists because ignoring your own limit has always been free.
What it deliberately does not do: no feed, no social features, no gamification circus, no confetti. A broken day is not marked with a red X — it simply stays empty. No account, no server, no analytics, no third-party SDKs; your screen time never leaves your phone. And the big button on the payment screen is always "Let it be" — the one that costs nothing. Atone is quiet software, designed to be closed.
What Atone - Quit Screentime does that nothing else does
It is the only screen time app that costs nothing unless you fail — and when you do, half of your payment plants trees or feeds shelter animals.
Who Atone - Quit Screentime is for
People who have set screen time limits a dozen times and ignored every one — self-improvement types who want a consequence that actually stings, not another breathing exercise.
