About Currently
Currently is a real-time, camera-only social app built for Indian Gen-Z. It solves the problem of fake, curated social media. Every post is captured live from the camera. No gallery uploads, no filters-first culture, no month-old photos posing as "now."
The core mechanic is a reciprocity gate. Your feed locks after 24 hours of inactivity. To see what friends are doing right now, you must post what you are doing right now. This mutual sharing model kills passive scrolling and lurking.
It is for college students and young professionals (18-25) in India who want to see real life around them: Live Map, Places, Plans, and Events show what's happening nearby, right now.
What Currently deliberately does not do: no gallery uploads, no infinite likes (Hype reactions are capped at 5 per day), no influencer-style broadcasting, no algorithmic doomscroll feed. It rewards showing up, not showing off. 400K+ downloads, 4.6 stars on Google Play, with zero marketing spend. Tagline: Show up right now.
