Weather Alerts

Weather Alerts is a free Android app built around one idea: you decide what weather is worth a notification. For each saved location you set your own thresholds for rain (in mm), wind and gusts, heat, frost, snow, UV index, air quality (AQI and PM2.5), wildfire smoke, aurora activity (Kp index) and thunderstorms with lightning. When the forecast crosses one of your limits, you get an alert, often days ahead, which leaves real time to plan.

Who it helps: gardeners watching for frost, cyclists and runners avoiding strong gusts or heat, aurora photographers waiting for a high Kp, people sensitive to smoke or poor air, and anyone organising outdoor work, events or trips.

On top of your personal limits, the app shows official severe weather warnings for your locations. Before a drive, you can check the weather along your route. Quiet hours keep your nights free of notifications, so alerts reach you only when you want them.

What it deliberately avoids: a stream of generic alerts you did not ask for. Everything is tuned to your own thresholds and places.

The app is free to download, and Premium comes with a 7-day free trial.
